The 2004 Boys premier team went to Ohio for Midwest Presidents Cup after winning the Minnesota Presidents Cup.

They started the tournament off by winning the first game of the group stage 3-1 against New Albany FC from Ohio. Jake Kidd scored all three goals in this game. The next game was a win over Sporting Springfield from Missouri. The game was 0-0 at half time. The second half a complete change from the scoreless first half with 7 goals across both teams. The game ended 4-3 to Gitch. 

The last game of the group was against Chicago FC United. Both teams went into this game on 6 points. However, due to weather conditions a full game could not be played and the game would be decided by Kicks-From-The-Mark. Gitch won this game 6-5 to finish at the top of the group and advance to the semi finals. Coach Seth Eklund played a outfield player in goal for this and his thinking behind it was "With it being a 11v11 and having goal differential as a factor I knew every shot was going to matter and I felt like Grady would give us the best chance of winning while also allowing me flexibility to add another good penalty kick taker in the goalie slot." and he also said it was the hardest decision he has ever had to make as a coach.

The team would then play against OP Soccer Club from Kansas in the semi final. They would go down 1-0 in the 4th minute of the game before tying the game up just before half time with a goal from Skyler Fossum. OP would go back in front in the 48th minute and would see out the game for a 2-1 win. 

The eventual winners would be Chicago FC United who Gitch beat in the group stage of the cup.

Jake Kidd finished the tournament with 7 goals and was the teams top scorer throughout the 4 games. When asked about the experience Kidd said "It was a great experience being able to play many different states and see the different play styles that came along with every team". Jake Kidd also said that the highlight of the tournament was winning the shootout to top the group going 3-0. 

Michael Gill was also an important player involved in this team. When was asked about what he learnt from the weekend and made him and the team grow he said "We weren't prepared for a shootout instead of a game so learning to adapt to that and having to have a team mentality. We had to do what was best for the team and not individuals". He then said the highlight for him was playing new teams they haven't heard of and having success against these teams.

Coach Seth Eklund said that he was proud of his players and his highlight of the tournament was watching the players compete at such a high level and being successful.
