Drake Schramm of CEC signs with UWS

It was a good day for Drake Schramm -- a long time Gitch player and Cloquet-Esko-Carlton HS team standout -- as he signed his letter of intent to play soccer for UW-Superior.
CEC Coach Dave Bergan had this to say about his player from Esko:  "It was an honor to coach Drake the past two years.  He is a leader and a mentor to kids in the area.  He was the first to the field and the last to leave. He lead the state with assists which shows his unselfish play and was also top 10 in scoring which also shows his skill up top as an attacker and his ability to find the back of the net.  Great all around player who deserves all the accolades he has gotten due to his hard work and being an amazing student of the game.  I wish him well in the future and look forward to watching him on the pitch for UWS next year!"

Schramm finished his senior year with 21 goals and 17 assists in a COVID shortened season.  He was a MN All State player and was on the Local All Star Area Team, as well as being named to the All-Area roster by the Duluth News Tribune.

Best of luck on the UWS pitch, Drake!
