Congratulations to the Five Gitchi Gummi players who were recognized at the virtual state banquet at the weekend.  The State names 48 All- State players for each Class, these 48 players represent less than 3% of the number of players in each Class.  So for Gitchi Gummi to have 5 representatives is very impressive.

Named to the Class A girls 1st team was Ms. Soccer Finalist Maren Friday of Marshall.  Baamlak Haugen also of Marshall was honored as she earned 2nd team recognition.

The boy’s side saw Mr. Soccer Finalist Keegan Chastey of Denfeld and Drake Schramm of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton named to the Class A 1st  team.  Spencer Rousseau of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton earned 2nd team honors.

This is a great achievement for all, unfortunately neither Maren nor Keegan took home the award of Ms. or Mr. Soccer but again to be selected as one of five finalists is a massive honor.
