Proctor indoor turf and Winter skills sessions

Gitch is excited to have gained access to the newly redeveloped St. Louis County fairgrounds indoor facility.  This facility has undergone an upgrade as it has been transformed from a hockey rink into a turfed facility for soccer.

As a Club we feel this site will provide a quality indoor facility which will allow our teams to develop during our pre-season phase.  Having access to an indoor turf facility during this period give all of our members a massive benefit in their growth as players.  They will receive thousands of touches on a quality and real surface throughout these months as a lot of emphasis from the technical and team coaches will be on individual skills and game like decision making as we prepare them for the season ahead.

Gitch will start to use this facility as their indoor training space from late January after the very popular indoor league that many of our players participate in concludes.   Our Club plans to run 6 tactical sessions from November through January as an additional option for our members to work on their individual skills before team sessions start.

All Gitch teams will train at this facility.  League teams will start before our younger tournament teams.  Our new player’s fees include some additional fees to cover this wonderful opportunity for our members as we look to develop more regular training options for our teams throughout the winter and early spring months.  Our league team families should expect to be assessed additional fees for extra use of this facility.

As a Club we envision our leagues teams having regular sessions from Late January through mid to late April.  Our younger tournament teams will start in early March with tactical sessions weekly for 6 weeks.

We are very excited for what we see as the next significant step forward for our Club as we continue to aspire to develop technically and tactically good players who love the game.

We will begin Winter skills sessions for all teams starting in November. Sessions will be 1 hour each with registration and exact age group times to be confirmed.

Sunday times and dates for winter skill sessions:

Nov 17th, Nov 24th, Dec 8th, Dec 15th, Jan 12th, Jan 19th (6-9pm)
