Early Development Program | Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club

Announcing the registration for the Gitchi Gummi Soccer Early Development and Juniors Program in June-July, 2008 for all young soccer players in the Duluth/Superior area. The Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club’s mission is to provide a player development utilizing fun, skills-based experiences. The Early Development and Juniors Programs are for girls and boys, ages 5 to 10 years, and will meet twice a week from June 9 to July 16, 2008. The program will be held at UMD’s Bayview Field off of St. Marie Street. This program will emphasize learning proper soccer techniques with no set teams or games. Players will be grouped by age and ability. Mike Sengbush, GGSC Youth Development Coordinator, will oversee the program and shall be assisted by current, former college players.The weeknight sessions will include: skill explanation, demonstrations, practice, small-group scrimmages and most of all, fun! This program is very popular and does fill up. Get your registration in ASAP!

Early Development Program 5 – 8 years of age
This program consists of 11 one-hour training sessions beginning in early June and running through mid-July. Coaches for this program have significant experience in both soccer and working with young players. The cost for this program is $55.00.

Juniors Program 9 – 11 years of age
This program consists of 11 one and one half-hour training sessions beginning in early June and running through mid-July. A professional soccer coach, with the help of trained assistants, will direct the Junior Program. Special scrimmages will be conducted to help the players learn game dynamics. The cost is $85.00.
