2010 Registration & Tryout Information

It's time to register for Gitchi Gummi Soccer for the 2010 competitive season, we encourage you to make copies of this information for friends and prospective new players who are interested in our program. Gitchi Gummi soccer is open to all athletes, in Duluth-Superior and the surrounding areas.

Early registration will be available Wednesday, September 30 from 4 – 6 p.m., during the men's soccer game vs. Hamline at Saints Field at the College of St. Scholastica. Admission to the game is free. Bring the completed registration form (PDF, 128 KB) with the $75 registration fee to the early registration event, mail it to the address on the form, or bring it to tryouts.

Tryouts will be held October 18th and November 1st at the College of St. Scholastica Wellness Center.

Tryout Schedule

Sunday, October 18th
10:00 - 11:00 AM U9 - U11 Boys (Kick around)
11:00 - Noon U10, U11 and U12 Girls ( kick around)
Noon - 1 PM U12 Boys
1 - 2:30 PM U13 Boys
2:30 - 4 PM U13 and U14 Girls
4 - 5:30 PM U15 Girls

Sunday, November 1st
12:30 - 2 PM U17 Girls
2 - 3:30 PM U16 Girls
3:30 - 5 PM U14 and U15 Boys
5 - 6:30 PM U16 Boys
6:30 - 8 PM U17 Boys

Tryout make up date is Wednesday, November 4th at 5 PM.

Players should come prepared with a ball, indoor shoes or tennis shoes, water and shin guards. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tryout time. Extended tryouts may be scheduled for individual teams, and an effort will be made to provide makeup tryouts for those unable to make their tryout time. Players will be contacted by mail regarding their tryout results by mid-November.

Tournament Teams

Tournament teams for boys and girls ages U9-U11 will be filled on a first come/first served basis. There are is no tryout, but a kick-around session will be offered during tryouts on Sunday, October 18th. Registration forms and the $75 deposit should be mailed to reserve a place on a team in this age group.

We also expect to have boys and girls tournament teams in the U18 age group. Mail completed registration forms to the club address on the form. No registration fee is due at this time for U18-U19 teams. You will be contacted by a coach regarding the team status and player fee.
